 Hey Guys!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I know I sure did. It’s crazy to me how fast time flys by when you’re having fun isn’t it? This weekend was such a short spontaneous trip but it was probably one of my highlights by far this year. So let me give you a little back story to how this little trip came into fruition.

So last weekend Cameron @itscameronhinkle and I met up with two AMAZING female bloggers here in Nashville @alittlepaperdoll and @julianna_claire. We had all been commenting on each others posts via Instagram and finally decided it was time to meet up. So last weekend we had brunch at one of Nashvilles well known social gathering/restaurants, Pinewood Social. I have to admit I was a little nervous going to meet some of my fellow bloggers. Not becuase I was intimidated by them but becuase I am a very shy person usually and I like to feel out peoples personalities first before I open up. I literally felt so connected with them the moment we started talking and engaging. We ended up talking and laughing for over 4 hours while chowing down on some delicous breakfast.

Towards the end of the meal they mentioned to us that they were going on this trip to Gatlinburg the following weekend to this cute little cabin in Gatlinburg and asked if we wanted to come along. Looking to get away from the Nashville scene for a hot minute, Cameron and I quickly said yes!. So…we loaded up the car and headed to Gatlinburg for what was to turn out to be a fun weekend with our new friends.

After a 4ish hour drive from Nashville through the winding roads up the Smoky Mountains we happened upon this charming little green cabin in the woods. You guys! this cabin was so quaint and cozy the pictures don’t do it justice. We unpacked the car and took in the breathaking view from the back porch balcony.

Oh…and the pups loved the cabin as well. Here is Kayla’s (@alittlepaperdoll) pup Ringo. He was so happy to be around everyone and wanted ALL the kisses. His brother Buddah was there also but was interested in running around checking out the bedrooms to make sure no intruders came in after us. haha!

Since we were in such a charming place we wanted to shoot some content for our social media becuase lets be real…you guys are the reason we do what we do and we love you for it. After shooting for a bit we ventured into downtown Gatlinburg where we chowed down on some Mexican goodness. Let me just tell you…shooting content can quickly make one hungry. After a good meal we headed back to the cabin with a hefty bit of firewood where we lit a fire pit and roasted marshmellows and made smore’s…one of my favorite treats. You HAVE to try them with dark chocolate. OMG! sooo good!

It’s funny how a fire can always make for great conversation and bonding. We all got to know each other better and shared some great stories. Once we stuffed our faces with enough chocolate to feed a horse we ventured into the cabin for some head’s up and cards against humanity. So I never really played heads up with a group before but let me tell you…it’s probably my new favorite game. Cameron & I won of course becuase WE ARE AWESOME! haha! just kidding…we’re just more dramatic. haha!

I think we played like 12 rounds of heads up and cards against humanity before we all pretty much passed out from having so much fun. We all got a good nights rest before waking up and chatting over coffee. We got a few more photos in before we packed up the car and headed to the Apple Barn where we feasted on apple fritters and some great southern deliciousness.

It’s so crazy becuase it felt like we were there for like 3 days but it was a very short trip but it was probably the most fun i’ve had in a long time. I met some amazing humans who I now called friends. I love how people come into your life when you least expect it but it turns out to be the best surprise. Meeting these two girls and their spouses has definitely been a highlight of my year and so look forward to hanging out with them more. All this to say…social media can definitely be a positive tool to connect with people if you let it.

Keep spreading love and positivity my friends

Oh!….here are a few pics of the cabin we stayed in. It’s sooo cute!
