How’s it going guys?!
I had the privilege of attending my first Steeplechase in Atlanta last weekend with my buds Adam, Cody & Dillon. Dillon lives in NYC and works for Microsoft who set up a tent at the event. Adam, Cody & I drove down Friday night and met up with him for Dinner at King + Duke. If you haven’t been to this restaurant in ATL…you should put it on your list to checkout. If anything for the bread.
Awaking Saturday morning we got all gussied up, grabbed some coffee and headed to Steeplechase. We were greeted by Dillon who had to be at the event SUPER early to help set up. He gave us our wristbands that allowed us to have unlimited drinks and food…boy did we drink…haha!
We were surprised by one of our oldest and dearest friends Meg whom we haven’t seen in YEARS. I mean probably 5-8 yrs haha! We had a great time catching up and dancing our asses off to the dj they had flown in. We met some really great people including Meg’s friends who were AMAZING!!! I’ve seriously not laughed that hard in a long time. It was great!
Oh yeah! they had horse racing too…which to be completely honest…I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to after my 3rd vodka and cranberry juice. Kid you not…there was so much alcohol we ended up carrying a case of whiskey, vodka and wine home with us haha!
After a great weekend we packed up and headed home Sunday morning. Let’s just say the ride home was VERY subdued and there may have been a couple of pull overs #hangoverproblems. All in all it was a great weekend and was glad to spend it with some of my favorite people.
